Downtown Open House Wisconsin

Downtown Beaver Dam Inc. is proud to be a participating member in the 2019 Wisconsin Downtown Open House. Be sure to stop by our unique, downtown businesses and organizations for a FREE behind-the-scenes tour of places that you may not normally think to visit. Other downtown businesses may be having specials or sales in conjunction with the day's events, so we encourage you to check it all out. Pick up a Patriot Passport and get stars at participating locations to enter a bucket raffle for great prizes. All events listed below are FREE admission, please be sure to check on admission prices/specials for any other downtown businesses.

The event will begin with Nation of Patriot's Tour Launch at 206 Front Street (between Stormy's and Rogers Cinema). 10 am - Opening Ceremony, 10:45 am - Grand Salute to Veterans, 11 am - Flag & Procession, Participants leave for Fennimore, WI.

Events for Downtown Open House

Self guided mural tours will also be taking place throughout the day. Maps will be available at all Downtown Open House participating organizations, as well as many downtown merchants. We suggest you start at American Bank - you will be able to view the inside mural from outside the main entrance at 115 Front Street.

Ooga Brewing Company (301 S. Spring Street) Sneak peek at Beaver Dam’s brewery. They will be open Noon to 2 pm. Handicapped accessible.

Beaver Dam Area Community Theater (117 West Maple Avenue) will be hosting guided tours, playing an ongoing video of new building construction and history, and complementary cookies and beverages. Ticket box office will also be open. This venue is handicap accessible and will be open from 10 am to 4 pm.

Dodge County Center for the Arts (formerly Beaver Dam Area Arts Association) (130 W. Maple Avenue, former Bank Mutual building) will have a new art exhibit: The Awakening: Blossoms, Birds & Butterflies at their new home. This venue is handicap accessible and will be open from 10 am to 6 pm.

Northwoods Casket Company (109 N. Lincoln Ave.) will have a casket gallery open that features hand-painted caskets by local artists. This venue is handicap accessible and will be open from 10 am to 4 pm.

Roger Noll-Calliope at Northwoods Casket Company (109 N. Lincoln Ave.)  10 am to 1 pm.

Dodge County Historical Museum (105 Park Avenue) will have free admission from 10 am to 4 pm.

Praise Assembly of God Church (119 W. Maple Avenue) will be open from 10 am to 4 pm to have a behind the scenes look at this iconic downtown building. The venue is handicap accessible.

Patriot Passport - Pick up at various businesses and enter at Las Dos Chicas, 120 Front St Pick up a Patriot Passport at many downtown locations, visit the businesses listed on the passport to get a star. Each star is equal to a raffle ticket for the bucket raffle located at Las Dos Chicas, 120 Front Street - raffle drawing at 4:15 pm.

Facebook Video Contest Share what you learned via a video posted to Downtown Beaver Dam Inc. Facebook Page for a chance to win a wagon-full of prizes donated by Beaver Dam's downtown businesses.

There will be music, food, specials at local businesses and more.

Pop-Up Shops (128 Front St.) River Dog Books, Co. and Lee Kornely-picture frames. 10 am to 4 pm.

We also encourage you to stay downtown after the Downtown Open House festivities are complete to visit the Watermark and support Green Valley Enterprises at their annual Ham N Jam event. A great place to get some food, stay downtown and help support a great local non-profit.

10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Bucket Raffle Entry, Drawing at 4:15 - Get a raffle ticket for each star on Patriot Passport. Raffle at 120 Front St.
